Danny Rand lança-se uma batalha mística de kung-fu no Universo Marvel, mas desta vez as apostas são muito maiores. Não será com os The Hand nem com nenhum dissidente de nenhuma das Seven Capital Cities of Heaven, ele está na verdade a lutar contra a ameaça sombria da oitava: a Hidden City.
Sob a vigilância de um misterioso senhor, a cidade sinistra envia uma onda de ninjas zombies para matar todos os dragões pertencentes às Cidades Imortais, tudo para que os seus corações e chi possam ser colhidos. Mas em Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon#4, fica um pouco mais complicado quando Danny descobre que terá que lutar contra uma das suas ex-amantes, a assassina de elite Yama Dragonsbane, também conhecida como Brenda Swanson.
Danny está sempre no seu melhor quando a luta é física e não mental, mas essa batalha vai estimular as suas emoções. A verdade é revelada depois que a assassina, vestida de branco e montada num cavalo zombie, se dirige a Wakanda para decapitar um dragão e roubar o seu coração. O plano de Danny de trazer todas as cidades para a Terra para defendê-las, ocorreu o oposto e, infelizmente, jogou a favor da assassina.
A figura encapuzada então chega ao covil do soberano, chamando este chefe de “hierophant”, antes de se desmascarar como uma Yama Dragonsbane com cicatrizes, também conhecida como Brenda Swanson. Fãs familiares saberiam que ela é filha de Harold Meachum, o homem que sabotou uma expedição à misteriosa cidade de K’un-Lun, que matou o pai de Danny, Wendell, e colocou Danny no caminho para se tornar o Iron Fist. Ela foi apresentada em Iron Fist de Kaare Andrew: A Arma Viva em 2014. Depois da sua mãe morrer, Brenda pegou no dinheiro que lhe restava e viajou pelo mundo, treinando para se tornar a assassina final.
Chateada por Danny não poder vingá-los matando Harold, ela jurou vingança contra Danny, mas ficou complicado quando eles se tornaram amantes. Agora, o relacionamento deles está profundamente enraizado no ódio, uma vez Brenda quer limpar o passado, começando com a geração Rand.
