Víctor L. Pinel confirmado para a Comic Con Portugal
A banda desenhada contemporânea europeia continua em peso na Comic Con Portugal com a presença de Víctor L. Pinel, autor, ilustrador e animador espanhol que tem vindo a afirmar-se como um dos nomes a acompanhar no atual panorama da BD. A sua participação no evento reforça a diversidade artística da Comic Con Portugal e aproxima o público nacional de um criador em clara ascensão.
Formação e primeiros passos
Nascido em 1988, em Madrid, Víctor L. Pinel demonstrou desde cedo uma forte ligação à banda desenhada e à ilustração. A sua formação artística teve lugar na ESDIP – Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional, em Madrid, onde adquiriu bases sólidas como desenhador e colorista.
Após a formação, os seus primeiros projetos profissionais orientaram-se sobretudo para o mercado juvenil e para o cinema de animação, trabalhando como storyboarder e colorista. Em paralelo, começou também a desenvolver uma ligação à docência, área que mantém até hoje.
A entrada no mercado internacional
Um dos primeiros marcos da sua carreira surgiu em 2016 com a publicação de “Les Petites marées-rose”, a terceira história da coleção criada por Séverine Vidal para a editora francesa Les Enfants Rouges. Esta obra permitiu projetar o seu estilo delicado e apurado para o mercado internacional, abrindo portas a novas colaborações.
Desde então, Pinel consolidou o seu percurso com títulos como La maison de la plage, a sua primeira novela gráfica publicada em Espanha, e La Inmersión (2021), novamente em colaboração com Séverine Vidal, editada pela Nuevo Nueve.
Presença na Comic Con Portugal
A confirmação de Víctor L. Pinel como convidado da Comic Con Portugal representa uma oportunidade única para conhecer de perto um autor que cruza banda desenhada, animação e ensino artístico. O público poderá contactar com o seu trabalho através de painéis, sessões de autógrafos e conversas sobre processos criativos e narrativa visual.

Paralelamente ao trabalho em banda desenhada, Víctor Pinel construiu também um percurso relevante no cinema de animação. Dirigiu curtas-metragens como Closed (2014/15) e I Wish…, esta última nomeada para os Prémios Goya em 2019. Atualmente, divide o seu tempo entre projetos autorais e a docência na ESDIP e no estúdio de animação associado.
Esta ligação entre BD e animação reflete-se diretamente na fluidez visual e no sentido de ritmo presentes nas suas obras.
Um estilo gráfico reconhecível
O estilo de Víctor L. Pinel é frequentemente descrito como delicado e apurado, combinando rigor técnico com forte emotividade visual. Entre as suas influências assumidas encontram-se autores como Takehiko Inoue e Frédérik Peeters, referências visíveis na forma como trabalha o corpo, o silêncio e a composição das páginas.
A sua versatilidade permitiu-lhe colaborar com várias editoras europeias e explorar géneros que vão do juvenil ao literário, como em Puisqu’il faut des hommes (2020), publicado pela editora francesa Grand Angle, em parceria com o argumentista Philippe Pelaez.
Um autor a acompanhar de perto
Apesar de ainda se encontrar numa fase ascendente, Víctor L. Pinel é já apontado como um dos autores europeus de banda desenhada a observar, graças à qualidade estética do seu trabalho, à sua presença em salões de BD e à colaboração com editoras consolidadas. A sua participação como convidado no Salón del Cómic de València 2025 é mais um reflexo desse reconhecimento crescente.
A presença de Víctor L. Pinel na Comic Con Portugal confirma a aposta do evento em criadores contemporâneos com voz própria e percurso sólido.
