Reviravoltas que te Vão Deixar a Boca Aberta

Os filmes com plot twists são aqueles que desafiam a nossa perceção, enganando-nos com pistas subtis para depois nos surpreenderem com uma revelação inesperada. Não se trata apenas de um choque momentâneo, mas de uma reviravolta que altera completamente a forma como entendemos a história. Os melhores exemplos deste género fazem-nos questionar tudo o que vimos e obrigam-nos a rever cada detalhe com uma nova perspetiva. Se gostas de finais imprevisíveis que desafiam a lógica e te deixam a pensar muito depois dos créditos rolarem, então esta lista é para ti.

1 – Shutter Island (2010)

Em “Shutter Island”, realizado por Martin Scorsese, acompanhamos um agente federal interpretado por Leonardo DiCaprio que viaja até uma ilha isolada para investigar o desaparecimento de uma paciente de um hospital psiquiátrico. Mas quanto mais fundo escava, mais perturbadora se torna a realidade. Scorsese joga com a nossa perceção, criando um ambiente claustrofóbico e repleto de pistas subtis para um final de arrebentar a mente. O filme foi indicado a vários prémios, incluindo o Saturn Award para Melhor Filme de Terror/Thriller.

 

2 – Fight Club (1999)

Já “Fight Club”, de David Fincher, traz Edward Norton como um homem deprimido que encontra um carismático anarquista, interpretado por Brad Pitt e juntos criam um clube secreto de combates clandestinos. No entanto, a verdade por detrás desta relação é muito mais perturbadora. O seu comentário social brutal sobre consumismo e identidade, aliado a um twist que redefine toda a narrativa, tornam este um filme memorável que, apesar de só ter sido indicado ao Óscar de Melhor Edição de Som, tornou-se um fenómeno cultural e um dos filmes mais aclamados de sempre.

 

3 – The Prestigue (2006)

“The Prestige”, dirigido por Christopher Nolan, apresenta Hugh Jackman e Christian Bale como dois mágicos rivais que competem entre si para criar o melhor truque de ilusão, mas a sua obsessão leva a um desfecho inesperado e sombrio. O guião engenhoso e a forma como o Christopher Nolan estrutura o filme como um verdadeiro truque de magia, fazem deste um filme imperdível, tendo sido indicado a dois Óscares, incluindo Melhor Direção de Arte e Melhor Fotografia.

 

4 – Get Out (2017)

Por outro lado, “Get Out”, de Jordan Peele e protagonizado por Daniel Kaluuya, traz uma crítica social mordaz ao contar a história de um jovem negro que visita a família da sua namorada branca e percebe que algo muito estranho está a acontecer naquela casa. O terror psicológico e a reviravolta arrepiante renderam ao filme o Óscar de Melhor Argumento Original.

 

5 – Se7en (1995) 

“Se7en” é mais uma obra-prima de David Fincher, colocando Brad Pitt e Morgan Freeman na pele de dois detetives que investigam uma série de assassinatos brutais inspirados nos sete pecados capitais. O suspense sufocante e um final perturbador fazem deste um dos thrillers mais impactantes da história do cinema, tendo sido indicado ao Óscar de Melhor Edição.

 

6 – Inception (2010)

Em “Inception”, Christopher Nolan conduz Leonardo DiCaprio e uma equipa de especialistas numa missão para infiltrar-se nos sonhos das pessoas e plantar ideias nos seus subconscientes. O conceito brilhante, a estrutura narrativa complexa e um final aberto que continua a ser debatido garantiram ao filme quatro Óscares, incluindo Melhor Fotografia e Efeitos Visuais.

 

7 – Parasite (2019) 

“Parasite”, de Bong Joon-ho, conta a história de uma família pobre que se infiltra na casa de uma família rica, levando a uma espiral imprevisível de tensão e violência. A mistura perfeita de comédia, drama e horror social culmina numa viragem narrativa inesquecível, tornando-se o primeiro filme estrangeiro a vencer o Óscar de Melhor Filme.

 

8 – Gone Girl (2014)

“Gone Girl”, de David Fincher, apresenta Ben Affleck como um homem cuja esposa desaparece misteriosamente, tornando-se o principal suspeito. O jogo psicológico entre o espectador e os personagens, apresenta um final perturbadoramente satisfatório que valeram a Rosamund Pike uma nomeação ao Óscar de Melhor Atriz.

 

9 – The Sixth Sense (1999)

“The Sixth Sense”, realizado por M. Night Shyamalan, mostra Bruce Willis no papel de um psicólogo infantil que tenta ajudar um menino que afirma conseguir ver pessoas mortas. O plot twist que redefiniu o cinema e elevou Shyamalan a mestre das reviravoltas fez com que o filme fosse nomeado a seis Óscares, incluindo Melhor Filme.

 

10 – Prisioners (2013)

Por fim, “Prisoners”, de Denis Villeneuve, acompanha Hugh Jackman e Jake Gyllenhaal numa história intensa sobre o desaparecimento de duas crianças e um pai desesperado que faz justiça pelas próprias mãos. A tensão implacável e um mistério que nos mantém presos até ao último segundo garantiram ao filme uma indicação ao Óscar de Melhor Fotografia.

 

Estes filmes estão entre os melhores de plot twists porque conseguem subverter as expetativas do público de forma magistral, oferecendo histórias cativantes que desafiam a perceção da realidade e obrigam a uma segunda visualização para captar todos os detalhes ocultos.
